More About Me
My loved ones say I'm Effervescent.
I can talk passionately for hours and listen intently.
Strangers have often misjudged me and think I have had a perfect life, so I wrote my solo show to reveal all the imperfect parts and circumstances that made me the strong, confident, capable, happy and positive woman I am today.
I'm a Latina who is proud of my culture and respect all cultures and religions.
I can argue any point, but refuse to argue with a fool.
I face challenges and often take on more than I can chew with excellent results.
I revel in my accomplishments...And openly share resources and knowledge.
I believe that every person who cares to speak a truth, represents tens or hundreds that don't... And so I respect the opinions of others, and never underestimate people or possibilities.
I was raised in a ghetto in Brooklyn and now live a Country Club lifestyle.
I've written over a million dollars in award winning grants and founded and produce, what is now, the largest cycling event on Long Island (one of the largest in the country... And I dont know how to ride a bike)... I do it to create a circumstance whereby I'm giving others what they want while I'm getting what I want. For them; it's a great ride, and for me; it's helping children with Autism while feeling a great sense of accomplishment, pooling resources and creating synergy.
Above all, I'm an artist. I'm a free artist. I've earned a great reputation, by studying for three years, twice a week in a professional acting class lead by the legendary Wynn Handman, who I am proud to call my friend and mentor. I've witnessed my own growth and know there is no end to learning. I can take direction while trusting my instincts enough to share in the creative process.
